DDR3 is the next generation of DDR memory technology. It is an evolution of DDR and DDR2 memory technology that delivers higher speeds (beyond 1333MHz), lower power consumption and heat dissipation. It is not backwards compatible with DDR2 or DDR based motherboards, due to incompatible module connection, voltage and DRAM technology. DDR3 HyperX is available now in speeds PC3-1375 and PC3-1500.

HyperX DDR2 memory modules offer faster speeds, lower latencies, higher data bandwidths and lower power consumption than DDR memory. DDR2 memory modules are not backwards compatible with DDR-based motherboards, due to incompatible module connections, voltage and DRAM technology. DDR2 HyperX is available in speeds ranging from PC2-4300 to PC2-9600 and in 1GB and 2GB dual-channel kits.

Notice: All Kingston products are tested to meet our published specifications. Some system or motherboard configurations may not operate at the published HyperX memory speeds and timing settings. Kingston does not recommend that any user attempt to run their computers faster than the published speed. Overclocking or modifying your system timing may result in damage to computer components.
