Important Configuration Notes

  • MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN IDENTICAL GROUPS OF FOUR for Quad Channel mode.
  • Mixing x4 and x8 type modules is NOT allowed.
  • JEDEC spec "KSM" Server Premier Registered DIMMs will operate at 4800MT/s installed in 1DPC (1 DIMM per Channel) in Quad Channel configuration using Intel Xeon W9, W7 and W5 series processors. Due to processor/chipset limitations, 4800MT/s DDR5 RDIMMs installed in 2DPC (2 DIMMs per Channel) in Quad Channel configuration are limited to operate at and will safely clock down to 4400MT/s. Xeon W3 series and W5-3423 / W5-3433 models limit memory speed to 4400MT/s, regardless of DIMM configuration.
  • Intel limits the compatibility of 96GB RDIMMs, which cannot be mixed with any other capacities or module types.
  • All 5600MT/s and 4800MT/s memory will safely clock down to slower speeds when forced by the chipset/processor.
  • Some memory configurations may NOT be supported, please refer to manual for supported memory configuration and speeds.

Kingston FURY Configuration Notes

  • This motherboard does not support XMP-based memory overclocking.
  • Kingston FURY Renegade Pro featuring Plug N Play (automatic overclock) at 4800MT/s will run up to the speed allowed by the manufacturer's system BIOS. PnP cannot increase the system memory speed faster than is allowed by the manufacturer's BIOS.
  • Mixing modules or kits of different speeds/timings/voltages is not recommended and may cause instability.
  • If a K8 "Kit of 8" part is not listed for a particular speed/capacity, it is not recommended to install two K4 "Kit of 4" together. K8 kits are only listed if the configuration has been tested as stable.

Compatible Upgrades For Your System

Overclocking pushes the stable industry standard specifications of memory (speed, latencies, voltage) to achieve higher performance. While generally safe and supported by Intel, AMD, and the motherboard/system manufacturers, overclocking is done at your own risk. System stability may be compromised by some speeds and configurations. The FURY parts listed are based on motherboard manufacturer testing (QVLs) and Kingston internal testing, however some systems may require premium components (high-end processor models, motherboards, power supplies, and water cooling) to achieve stable overclocking, particularly at extreme speeds.

Kingston FURY Renegade with Heatsink (SFYRSK/xxxG, SFYRDK/xxxG) will fit in most systems that can accommodate its size (~80mm x 23.67mm x 10.5mm). This includes a variety of motherboards, desktops, gaming PCs and the PlayStation 5. If you are uncertain whether it will fit, please review your system manufacturer’s support manual, or contact Kingston Technical Support.
Note: Some small-form-factor systems like Intel® NUC cannot physically accommodate the height of the heatsink. In these circumstances, we suggest FURY Renegade without heatsink (SFYRS/xxxG, SFYRD/xxxG).
