Important Configuration Notes

  • MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN GROUPS OF FOUR for Quad Channel mode.
  • Kingston offers both Registered RDIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules. Registered and Load Reduced modules CANNOT be mixed within the same system.
  • Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank.
  • DDR4-2400 modules are supported with high-end model Xeon E5 v4 processors. Mid and low end Xeon E5 v4 and Xeon E5 v3 processors will force DDR4-2400 modules to operate at 2133 or 1866, depending on processor model number and if DIMMs are installed in the second memory bank.
  • Faster memory will clock down to run at optimal speed depending on processor model and number of modules installed.

Compatible Upgrades For Your System

Kingston FURY Renegade with Heatsink (SFYRSK/xxxG, SFYRDK/xxxG) will fit in most systems that can accommodate its size (~80mm x 23.67mm x 10.5mm). This includes a variety of motherboards, desktops, gaming PCs and the PlayStation 5. If you are uncertain whether it will fit, please review your system manufacturer’s support manual, or contact Kingston Technical Support.
Note: Some small-form-factor systems like Intel® NUC cannot physically accommodate the height of the heatsink. In these circumstances, we suggest FURY Renegade without heatsink (SFYRS/xxxG, SFYRD/xxxG).
