Virtually any configuration up to 192GB can be reached using Kingston's 2, 4, and 8GB modules.
Reg ECC RDIMMs:

Virtually any configuration up to 768GB can be reached using Kingston's 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32GB modules.
ECC LRDIMMs:

Virtually any configuration up to 768GB can be reached using Kingston's 32GB modules.

DDR3 modules automatically clock down depending on which Intel Xeon processor is used and the number of modules installed.
Kingston recommends installing K4 kits for optimal quad channel performance configurations.
Due to chipset limitations, Quad Rank memory will operate at 1066MHz with 1 DIMM per Channel or 800MHz with 2 DIMMs per Channel.

Kingston offers Unbuffered ECC UDIMM, Registered RDIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules. Modules of different memory types CANNOT be mixed within the same system.
