  • This system supports either Registered ECC or Unbuffered ECC memory. Mixing Registered ECC and Unbuffered ECC modules is not supported within this system.
  • Maximum 256GB configuration is achieved using eight 16GB Quad Rank RDIMMs and sixteen 8GB Dual Rank RDIMMs. Quad Rank modules MUST be installed in second bank (sockets 2, 5, 8, and 11) for both processors.
  • No more than two ECC UDIMMs may be installed per channel. It is recommended to install UDIMMs in first and third banks, leaving second bank (sockets 2, 5, 8, and 11) open.
  • Maximum 512GB memory is achieved by installing 8x 32GB QR and 16x 16GB DR RDIMMs in a two-processor system.
