Intel Xeon processors can use either ECC or non-ECC SODIMMs, however they can not use modules with x16 components (i.e. KCP4xxSS6/x). Mixing ECC and non-ECC modules is not recommended. Intel Core i7 or i9 processors require ONLY non-ECC SODIMM.
MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN PAIRS for Dual Channel mode.
Faster memory will clock down to run at optimal speed depending on processor model installed.
