MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN GROUPS OF FOUR for Quad Channel mode.
Maximum memory bandwidth is achieved by upgrading in groups of four per CPU. Utilizing the additional sockets for increased capacity, also known as split-channels, will reduce aggregated memory bandwidth (GB/s).
Kingston offers both Registered RDIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules. Registered and Load Reduced modules CANNOT be mixed within the same system.

Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank.
DDR4-2400 modules are supported with high-end model Xeon E5 v4 processors. Mid and low end Xeon E5 v4 and Xeon E5 v3 processors will force DDR4-2400 modules to operate at 2133 or 1866, depending on processor model number and if DIMMs are installed in the second memory bank.
Faster memory will clock down to run at optimal speed depending on processor model and number of modules installed.
