Kingston FURY Gaming Lab’s Custom PC Builds
To celebrate the launch of Kingston FURY’s Gaming Lab at our campus in Hsinchu, Taiwan, we asked three highly talented case modders to build some unique and ambitious PCs showcasing the power of Kingston FURY DRAM and SSDs. These Kingston FURY PC builds are light years ahead of the competition!
Memory Nexus
AK, a Taiwanese PC modder, has devoted his life to the world of case modding since 2016. With his talents and extensive experience, AK won a championship in an international case mod contest. He also received the honour of “Best Overall Project of the Year” in bit-tech’s Mod of the Year contest in 2019, as well as “Best Craftsmanship/Performance & Aesthetics” in Case Mod World Series 2020. Skilled in crafting, AK applies great care and attention to create his builds with numerous tiny details and quality materials. AK created a custom Kingston FURY PC build in his lab, which took 480 hours to complete from conception. He started with an open-frame PC case, a gaming PC motherboard, and a GPU. For the customised parts, AK used CNC milling on aluminium plates to cut ports for transparent liquid cooling tubes which resemble pistons. He then cut red plexiglass to create a translucent red glow, complementing the glowing red cooling fans. There are also clear plexiglass windows to display our Kingston FURY Beast RGB memory. Next, he mounted together old memory modules and an old SSD, painted them matte black and attached them to the outside surface for a tech aesthetic. For storage, this PC is powered by Kingston FURY Renegade SSD. The completed design resembles a high-tech engine.
AK’s Stats:
- Over 7 years of expertise in PC modding
- Cooler Master CMWS2019 Master League Winner
- Bit-tech Mod of the Year 2019 in Association with Corsair- Mod of the Year
- Cooler Master CMWS2020 Best Craftsmanship, Performance and Aesthscetics
- Dedicated to the details with simple and cohesive design
Jetpack
YM, a full-time PC modder, first dipped his toes into the world of case modding in 2017. With a strong technique for modifying water cooling, YM usually creates a customised system which makes the rig aesthetically appealing and accentuates the features of essential components. Also, as a sci-fi lover, YM creates a sleek look and adds life to his builds by utilising a wide range of metals, LEDs and fantastic patterns. YM’s build took 360 hours to complete from conception. The Jetpack build features a vertically mounted motherboard, liquid-cooled CPU with red coolant liquid, and three red LED fans resembling jets to cool the radiators on each side. YM milled metal, acrylic, and plastic parts to create this custom build. At the rig’s heart, you’ll find Kingston FURY Beast RGB memory modules with Kingston FURY Renegade SSD for storage.
Spaceship
Mark has more than 8 years of exhibition decorating experience. He has applied his skill, dedication and perseverance to case mods since 2018. He successfully won 2nd place in an international case mod contest in his first year. For Mark, his creation is much more than a “PC mod”, it’s a piece of handcrafted art, telling an incredible story. That’s why Mark’s builds exceed all expectations. Mark’s custom Kingston FURY PC build took 600 hours to complete from conception. It’s a spaceship build incorporating design themes from classic sci-fi movies and games. He milled metal & plastic pieces to construct the body from scratch. The motherboard is mounted inside the hull of the ship. The CPU is liquid-cooled but Mark also integrated RGB fans set to red, which add to the spaceship aesthetic. The assembly is fastened to a swivelling stand powered by hydraulic cylinders mounted on the base. A laser-engraved acrylic light display shows a line drawing of the ship from various angles, evoking vintage sci-fi movies. Kingston FURY Beast RGB memory modules are mounted on one side of the cannon with two Kingston A400 SATA SSDs mounted just below.
Mark’s Fabrication Stats:
- Over 5 years of expertise in PC modding
- Won 2nd place in worldwide case modding contest
- Case Mod World Series 2018: Scratch Build Category
- Specialized in copper tubes and mixed media modification
