Important Configuration Notes

  • MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN QUADS for Quad Channel mode. Kingston offers "K4" kit part numbers for Quad Channel mode.
  • Faster memory will clock down to run at optimal speed and voltage depending on processor model and number of modules installed.
  • Kingston offers Unbuffered ECC UDIMM, Registered RDIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules. Modules of different memory types CANNOT be mixed within the same system.
  • Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank.
  • When using the Intel E5-1600 series CPU only one CPU socket can be populated and only the corresponding DIMMs sockets can be utilized. The Intel E5-1600 only supports ECC UDIMMs and RDIMMs.
