Important Configuration Notes

  • MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN GROUPS OF FOUR for Quad Channel mode.
  • Faster memory will clock down to run at optimal speed depending on processor model and number of modules installed.
  • Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank.
  • Kingston offers both Registered (RDIMM) and Load Reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules. Registered and Load Reduced modules CANNOT be mixed within the same system. The Intel E5-1600 only supports Registered RDIMMs.
