Important Configuration Notes

  • Only Intel Xeon x2xx Series (Cascade Lake-SP) processors can use memory modules built with 16Gb density DRAM. BIOS/firmware updates and/or specific board revisions may also be required.
  • Maximum memory bandwidth is achieved by upgrading in groups of six per CPU. Utilizing the additional sockets for increased capacity, also known as split-channels, will reduce aggregated memory bandwidth (GB/s).
  • Faster memory will clock down to run at optimal speed depending on processor model installed.
  • Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank.
  • Kingston offers both Registered (RDIMM) and Load Reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules. Registered and Load Reduced modules CANNOT be mixed within the same system.

Compatible Upgrades For Your System

Kingston FURY Renegade with Heatsink (SFYRSK/xxxG, SFYRDK/xxxG) will fit in most systems that can accommodate its size (~80mm x 23.67mm x 10.5mm). This includes a variety of motherboards, desktops, gaming PCs and the PlayStation 5. If you are uncertain whether it will fit, please review your system manufacturer’s support manual, or contact Kingston Technical Support.
Note: Some small-form-factor systems like Intel® NUC cannot physically accommodate the height of the heatsink. In these circumstances, we suggest FURY Renegade without heatsink (SFYRS/xxxG, SFYRD/xxxG).
