Important Configuration Notes

  • MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN GROUPS OF EIGHT FOR MAXIMUM MEMORY PERFORMANCE.
  • Kingston offers both Registered RDIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules. Registered and Load Reduced modules CANNOT be mixed within the same system.
  • AMD EPYC 7002 processor models support up to DDR4-3200. AMD EPYC 7001 processor models featuring 180W and 170W TDP are required to support DDR4-2666. Mid (155W) and low end (120W) model EPYC processors only support up to DDR4-2400. Motherboard revision, number of ranks and DIMMs per Channel will also affect memory speeds.
  • Kingston memory will clock down to run at optimal speed depending on processor model and number/type of modules installed.
  • Please note specific board revision and/or BIOS/firmware upgrade maybe required to utilize the following parts that use 16Gbit technology:
  • KSMxxRD4/64xxx
  • KSMxxRS4/32xxx
  • KSMxxRD8/32xxx
  • KSMxxRS8/16xxx
  • Please refer to system documentation.

Compatible Upgrades For Your System

Kingston FURY Renegade with Heatsink (SFYRSK/xxxG, SFYRDK/xxxG) will fit in most systems that can accommodate its size (~80mm x 23.67mm x 10.5mm). This includes a variety of motherboards, desktops, gaming PCs and the PlayStation 5. If you are uncertain whether it will fit, please review your system manufacturer’s support manual, or contact Kingston Technical Support.
Note: Some small-form-factor systems like Intel® NUC cannot physically accommodate the height of the heatsink. In these circumstances, we suggest FURY Renegade without heatsink (SFYRS/xxxG, SFYRD/xxxG).
